A lot has happened since my last posting.
First, we have made reservations with Hurtigruten, the Norwegian ferry company, for the ferries from Honningsvag to Tromso and Svolvaer (Lofoten Islands) to Trondheim. Hotels have been booked in Berlin, Warsaw, Helsinki, Muonio, Alta, Honningsvag, Tromso, Svolvaer and Stryn.
Second, several of the group will be making a 'side trip' of three nights to St.Petersburg, taking the four hour train ride from Helsinki. While they are in Russia their cars will be parked up at our hotel in Helsinki.
Thirdly, and most importantly, it seems we are likely to have more participants! Great friends of ours from our HERO drives, Eric and Lynn and Richard and Malcolm could make the group swell to six cars. Also, we will be having passengers joining some of the cars as we travel round. More on this as we firm up on our plans.
