A further update on our upcoming Baltic Drive.
We now have five cars definitely doing the drive: three from the UK, one from the US (Texas) and one from France. The possibility of a sixth car, from the UK, is still on the cards. The car from France is being arranged by our Texan friends, Kenny & DeeAnne, who decided to get hold of a car in Europe rather than ship their car from El Paso.
Friends and family members are joining the drive, as passengers, for parts of the drive from Berlin up to Tromso and two groups will be doing a two/three day side trip from Helsinki to St.Petersburg, using the railways for the the three hour journey.
It's set to be a great adventure with each person free to do what they want, rather than be limited by the wishes of others.
On the booking front, we have booked all six ferries and every hotel is reserved except for the first night in Germany, which will be somewhere near Düsseldorf. We have a wonderful range of hotels from pretty basic to five no, six star, luxury!
Not much else to report at this stage. If there are further changes to our plans before we head off at the beginning of May, I will post them to the blog.
Finally, we have our next drive all lined up! We start in September of this year from St.John's Newfoundland and end in Savannah, Georgia in early October. At the moment it's two cars; us and Bob & Thelma.
